Access to this beach leads through a dark, hand-carved tunnel through the cliff. Carved into the rock beside the tunnel are old steps and a tiny room once used in the 16th century by a watchful privateer captain known as “Captain Charles.”
Located right next to Benagil Cave. You can see it clearly from the cliff path above, but no foot trail leads down to it. It is completely deserted and framed by 40-metre vertical walls—accessible only via kayak, paddleboard, or by swimming out.
