Who we are

Hikevent is the international version of the Slovak blog and tourist media Reštartnisa (restart yourself). Our bloggers create photo essays, blogs, posts and stories about Slovakia and important travel destinations. We run, cycle, climb mountains, conquer gorges and mountain passes and push the boundaries. But we also discover different cultures, history and art. We are looking for what is valuable and unique in the world. We are NOT just a bedeker, we bring personal and unique stories. Our website address is: https://hikevent.com.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

We publish texts, photos, audio recordings and videos of our bloggers on Hikevent.com. We only publish texts and media that bloggers themselves send us for publication by email or other written or electronic means. If you are uploading images to a website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Website visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

In addition to the photos of regular bloggers, we also publish photos and media of the participants of the 7 hills 3 lakes and cardio corrector challenges, which they placed on the restartnis server while completing the challenge. Some media, (especially images) are taken under license (lic. Peter Ertl restartnisa) from CBS photo banks, Big Stock photo and Deposit Photos.
